Plazas, Calles y reconocimientos a los Scouts de Huelva

Ayer saltó a la opinión pública desde la web del Ayuntamiento de Lepe, que el mismo ha propuesto al Grupo Scout Rhode’s para la rotulación de una Plaza con su nombre en dicha localidad.

Fueron unas horas intensas en la que la noticia se propago por las redes sociales de facebook y twitter, que dió lugar a la alegría de muchos amigos y conocidos scouts. Yo mismo enlace la noticia en mis cuentas en las redes sociales, mostrando mi alegría por la mención al Grupo Scout Rhodes y a su magnífico Kraal de Responsables, casi haciendola mia e incluyendome en el mismo.

Ya con la euforia del momento fuera, es momento para la reflexión e incluso para ver el camino de reconocimientos públicos al movimiento Scout en nuestra provincia y el camino que nos queda por recorrer para diversas administraciones locales puedan dar ese paso adelante para el reconocimiento que merecen los grupos scouts y sus equipos de voluntarios por la labor altruista que desarrollan en sus pueblos desde hace decenas de años.

No quiero dejar pasar el momento para recordar otros reconocimientos que los Scouts de Huelva ya han recibido anteriormente en nuestra provincia, abriendo el paso en enero del año 2001 cuando siendo presidente de Scouts Huelva recogí la placa que otorgaba a nuestra Asociación el reconocimiento para rotular una plaza de nuestra ciudad con el nombre de Plaza de los Scouts, en el populoso barrio de los Rosales, junto a la sede del Grupo Scout Eneas, el cual estaba liderado como Jefa de Grupo, María José Chaves, la que hoy día es mi esposa.

En Mayo de ese mismo año, en un multitudinario acto al que acudieron los 12 grupos que componian la asociación, y con la asistencia del Presidente de Scouts MSC, Agustín Matía Amor, se inauguró la Plaza de los Scouts.

Justo un año después, el 7 de mayo de 2002, se inauguró la Calle Baden Powell en la localidad de Lepe.

En este proceso de rotulaciones de calles, en el año 2003, Scouts Huelva recibe una Mención a la Solidaridad por la Consejería de Medio Ambiente de la junta de Andalucía.

Posteriormente el Escultismo español es reconocido con la Corbata de Alfonso X el Sabio el 30 de Diciembre de 2005.

El 5 de Diciembre de 2007, con motivo del Día internacional del Voluntariado, es otorgado al escultismo el Premio al Voluntariado Andaluz.

El premio Onubense del Año, es otorgado en febrero de 2008 por el diario Huelva Información, en su categoría de Solidaridad y Valores Humanos. Este mismo premio ya lo había recibido anteriormente el Grupo Scout Loyola de Huelva, el cual recibe también en el año 2008 el Premio «Comunidad Educativa SAFA» por la Fundación Sagrada Familia.

En Enero de 2010, el Ayuntamiento de Huelva otorgó la rotulación de una Calle con el nombre de «Calle Padre Vivas» al que fuese uno de los fundadores de la asociación Scouts Huelva MSC, aunque aún está pendiente la inauguración de la misma.

Y tras el segundo reconocimiento del pueblo de Lepe al Movimiento Scout, es momento para que otros ayuntamientos como los de Bonares, Trigueros, Palos de la Frontera y Beas, comiencen a reconocer la labor extraordinaria que hacen los grupos scouts que allí desarrollan su labor desde hace decenas de años.
